I was a collector in the 1980s who was very much a bedroom dj. I focused primarily on new wave, post punk, early electronica and dance, particularly imported 12” remixes. I rode the transitions from creating mixtapes to mixing vinyl with two turntables. As CDs became the format I mixed using my Denon CD mixer. I’ve used all kinds of software and gear for mixing MP3s. Currently I have a vintage turntable, a Pioneer DDJ-200 and use Djay Pro on the Mac and iPadPro. I continue to grow my vinyl collection.
