OBI reads:
With their 1986 self-titled debut, Crowded House carried forward the melodic invention and personality of the New Wave era while shaping it into a warmer, more refined pop rock sensibility for the decade ahead. Neil, Finn, Paul, Hester, and Nick Seymour delivered their songs with infectious charm, but it was Neil’s songwriting – packed with massive hooks and lyrical sophistication – that truly set them apart. No song captures this better than “Don’t Dream It’s Over,” a reflective ballad of hope that became their signature song and biggest hit around the world. CROWDED HOUSE transcended the era that shaped it, becoming a timeless classic.
This 40th anniversary edition has another album’s worth of rarities, including a handful now available on vinyl for the very first time.
